We set off for Hässleholm where there was a two-day exhibition. The first day was the Labrador Club exhibition held at Hässleholms Brukshundklubb. A very nice well run club. Our judge was Mrs. Green who has bred Fidela`s father Thurbajens. Fidela got Excellent. More about her comments can be read here Me, Linda and Jane went out to Desiree in Nobbele to take a look in the sheep pasture. Lots of baby lambs were skipping around in the sheep pasture, Desiree had become a ` mother substitute to three small lambs and it was these that were so tame that we could stroke them. Soon they were hungry again and we got to see when they got bottle-fed by her. Linda was also helping Then there was a coffee break and then a little herding display with Ice. Me and Bonita went to Jonkoping when SSRK was arranging a tracking day There was a big interest and 23 people showed up. First it was coffee and a little explanation about how the day was to be set up. First we tried shooting at different distances and saw how easy it was to miss and how it all starts with tracking. Then we did tipsround consisting of 11 stations with simulated gunshot wounds and theory. Then they had arranged four areas with various events where a hoofed game has been wrongly shot, and we had to identify the type of animal and where it had been wounded. After a short lunch break, a few dogs got to try different track layout. In the end, Bonita also did a short track where the track went through the audience with dogs, and Bonita did very well! Great fun and a well organized day. We took the opportunity to go to Stockholm when Cesar Millan came to Sweden. He also visited several other European countries and in Holland they had to add two extra performances as he was so popular! Despite having seen him on TV so it was really fun to see him `live` The actual show was fantastic. The scene depicted a home with living room furniture, kitchen furniture and a door. Cesar was as relaxed as on TV. It started with him talking about his first time in the U.S. and how he experienced dog attitude in America. Cesar ran rampant with the American dog owners. He imitated, and exaggerated! The best was probably his imitation of a cat! A little dancing and music was also baked into the program. He showed several examples of how to train dogs, but most of all he showed how bad we are at teaching our dogs. Cesar Millan Live! Tracking day.. A visit to Desiree Exhibition As usual in major exhibitions, there were many vendors. What I thought was dolls clothes were for dogs And the shoes were too! Then came Nia, a black hunting Labrador home to us. She has her own page and story to tell..
