Always fun when people come to our place to train. We took the opportunity to meet up several times before the young grazing cattle took over the land! I am very keen to go on courses when english instructors are invited to Sweden, so we set off to Eskilstuna where there was to be a two day course with Anthea Lawrence and Mary Ward at On the 2nd May Fidela made a new attempt in open class deerstalking. She got a 1st prize and with that she became a Champion! Final part of our beginners course with Mats och Gudrun at Roghöjdens. Fidela did well and we got high marks for our presentation. Good weather made it pleasant to sit outside all day as we carried on through lunch time. The last time on our competition course, we were asked to paint our dogs on a canvas. Here you can see three of the participants painting their dogs at the same time. Turned out well! Hässleholm and Hasslarp exhibition, The results you can find here Always fun to meet up with likewise people and making it to a mini holiday with the camper makes it extra fun. In Hasslarp we wondered around the town and found this unusual post box/man. This kids enjoyed a game of football We were training out in the forest and each dog took it in turns to do several different marks at once, including a rabbit track. All the dogs did very well. We ended up with a `shooting` retrieve. Since it was a hot day, instead of leaving the dogs in the car we were allowed to use the kennel runs. Fidela looked a bit worried thinking I was going to leave her there! After lunch we had a theori class before setting off home. Later that evening we set off to Hässleholm were there was an exhibition the next day What a place they have! ! They did everything to make sure everyone is comfortable. And we were. We had a great time, and in the evenings we spent many hours listening to storys told by Anthea and Mary.The first day we did some theori, and lots of `down to the basics` training. They have a different way of training and some of the participants had difficulty in adjusting and one girl even went home after one hour of the course!. I feel that one can listen and try and decide afterwards if it is the right way or not.At 11 0 clock Peter arrived with a coffee/tea break!On the second day we did quite a number of retrievingexcercises both in the field and then in the forest. The group I was in we had Mary,and she was very thoroughwith her training. No cheating allowed!I can recommend the instructors and Jill and Peter´s where the course took place.
