After gathering up and getting information about the event it was time to go out and have our photo taken. There were 80 of us who have gathered up in the North of Sweden for a five day labrador training camp at Bispgården. And what a week we had!. Fantastic weather the whole week, fabulous training grouds, good instruktors of which three had come over from England. Just right day lenght training, good food that was driven out to us and possibility to relax in the pub every evening. With the long summer light evenings and warmth did that we could sit outside late into the night on the grass and exchange our experiences from that day. The first two days we had Gordon Hodges as our instructor. Intensiv days with lots of `walk up training`, water retrieving and seek. A cheerful gang that worked hard with their dogs in spite of the heat and mosqitoes! This was my first ever working test. Their were 60 of us enrolled and it started at six pm and finished at 2:30am! It was almost daylight all night. It was great fun to try this out and would do it again! We managed all the stations with mixed points, two stations we got 20points and one we got 19points. On the forth day we had Anthea Lawrence. It was a full day of water training but one of the dogs was not very obedience so during the lunch break he had a seperate heel training session by Anthea! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the last day we could choose what we wanted to do. We chose to do a field trial. We had Vuokko Norkooli that day. We had a great day and a lovely way to round off the week. Everybody did very well and we all got tips on how to succeed at a real trial!In the car on the way back to Bispgården was a very tired dog.......!But such FUN we had! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------On the third day we only had half day as in the evening they had arranged a working test.
