Something that I have wanted to get going with for a while now. Here you will be able to follow what I do with my dogs. What we learn along the way, our succeses and not so successful!! Fidela has has started a puppy course. We were 10 in the group, and we were lucky to find a course that was running during winter time. By spring the puppies are no longer puppies and one looses out.Fidela has done her first ever game track, a simple straight stretch of about 50 meters with a hoof at the end. I was in a bit of a hurry, rushed off to lay the track knowing it was soon getting dark. Forgot to hang up markers, forgot where the track went.. Went back to get Fidela, put her out on the track, thought she was going the wrong way, tried to correct her, but she wouldn´t have it, thought there goes my track wasted, it was getting dark but she was right! She found her hoof and was very pleased with herself!Bonita has been on heat and has therefore taken a break from training. But soon we will get started again and now we are up to class 3 in obedience. She has also tried a bit of retrieving with dummies. Winter solstics Our christmas present! The water is cold at this time of year. A real lapdog! 1 January 2009The darkest month of the year, when it gets very difficult to fit everything in before darkness falls at four o clock in the afternoon. But we use the long winter evenings to plan next years events.The beginning of next year starts with an exhibition. Both dogs are enrolled to Mjölby in February. And another one in Moheda in March. Shall be interesting to see how it goes.When it comes to competitions we still have quite a bit of training to do before we enter out again.Apart from training obedience we have been trying out some retrieving dummies. We went to a friend who runs a shop selling among other things deer skin dummies which Bonita prefered! We have also been booking up some courses.Another puppy course and then a beginners level after that. A tracking course is also booked but we can´t start with that one until the snow melts away. We also want to try a gametracking course and a retrieving course....Well lots of plans made and booked, now to find the time for everything!But we are heading towards lighter days and hopefully this will make things easier. Before the ice covered the lake we took continued to take boat rides even when it was snowing!
