During the month of January Bonita has been doing a fair amount of obedience training.Crawl, fetch and picking up the right stick with my scent. We have been having a bit of trouble with this excercise. But then we got a tip from a friend. Clicker! When she picks up the right one click! It worked and she learnt quickly what it was I wanted her to do. We don´t use clicker when training otherwise, but this specific time I just couln´t think of any other way. Success :-). Fidela has finished her first puppy course. It ended with a track and grilling. Next she is attending her first exhibition in Mjölby.She is growing up fast as puppys do, and seems to be enjoying her courses and other activities.Also we are waiting to get started with gametracking, if only the snow would melt away... Me and Linda went to Stockholm, and here Linda is showing her Grandad the homepage. When I am not training or playing you will find me here! Playing on the ice The end of the course, Desiree writes out report while we enjoy the grill. To make training easier we use the tractor to clear the snow. We are in charge of the `kitchen`at our dog club. Here we are sorting through the cans outside as we found some mice that were living among the cans....... Fidela has spotted some ducks...... In the winter we take in the pelagoniums from the greenhouse. Here I am helping to water! 7 March: New puppy course, snow, and we lose a friend...Fidela has started a new course, not one too many when it comes to Labradors! She seems to enjoy it, and she keeps a close eye on what the others are doing!. She has also attended an exhibition in Moheda where she was awarded best labrador puppy! Result from the day can you find here. Even Bonita did well as she got her first 1st prize. A good day!But we have had a lot of snow and this has made training difficult. So then we took the tractor out into the field and cleared a large training area.Then we lost a friend. Dear Vida left us as we had to have her put down. She is the mother of the three cairns who live here today, Cara, Jenny and Davina. She was a lovely dog who had a special way of `talking` which we will miss. She lived to be 14 years.When weather permits we do a bit of retrieving work with dummies. The other day Fidela got to try for the first time after watching Bonita she knew what to do and manage it very well.
